CENIT@EA is established by a consortium of institutions, including University of Oldenburg, German Aerospace Centre, University of Dar Es Salaam (UDSM), University of Technology and Arts Byumba, Mannheim University of Applied Sciences and HTW University of Applied Sciences in Berlin, from which the Centre integrates international academic and professional experts as teaching staff.Here’s a closer look at some of our key partners:

Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ)

A powerhouse in international development cooperation, GIZ boasts a team of over 17,000 with expertise spanning economic development, energy, and peacebuilding. They have over 50 years of experience working alongside governments and private clients in roughly 130 countries. With a business volume exceeding €2.1 billion, GIZ brings significant resources to the table.

Inter-University Council for East Africa (IUCEA)

Established in 1980, IUCEA acts as a bridge between universities in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda. Their mission is to create impactful solutions that directly address the challenges and improve the living conditions faced by people in East Africa.

Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD)

The world’s largest facilitator of international student and researcher exchange, DAAD plays a crucial role in global education. They support over 100,000 students and researchers each year, fostering international collaboration and enriching educational experiences around the world. DAAD also champions efforts to internationalize German universities, making them more accessible to students worldwide.

The Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology (NM-AIST):

CENIT@EA finds a strong partner in NM-AIST, a pan-African university focused on Science, Engineering, Technology and Innovation (SETI). Established to address Africa’s development challenges, NM-AIST’s expertise complements CENIT@EA’s program offerings and fosters a collaborative environment for knowledge sharing and innovation.

Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg

his young and dynamic German university (founded in 1973) is known for its cutting-edge research and interdisciplinary approach, particularly in fields relevant to CENIT@EA’s programs, such as mathematics, computer science, and natural sciences. University of Technology and Arts of Byumba (UTAB), Rwanda

East African Community (EAC)

An intergovernmental organization of six East African countries, the EAC works towards economic integration and development in the region. The EAC’s focus aligns with CENIT@EA’s mission to equip graduates with the skills to contribute to regional progress.
